Nioh 3: Enemy Base Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Capturing all Enemy Bases is the most effective way to secure dominance over the Nioh 3 regions and accelerate your character’s progression. These 26 fortified strongholds—spread across the Warring States, Heian, and Bakumatsu eras—serve as major milestones in the game’s new Exploration Level system.

Clearing them is not just a combat challenge; it is a requirement for unlocking the prestigious Total Control Trophy. By liberating these areas from Yokai and rebel forces, you transform hostile territories into safe zones, making it significantly easier to find and rescue friendly spirits like Kodama, Scampusses, and the elusive, bell-ringing Chijiko.

When you enter an Enemy Base, a counter appears on your UI indicating the remaining hostiles. Once cleared, you unlock a suite of permanent regional upgrades:

  • Capturing bases is the fastest way to hit Level 4 Exploration. Reaching these milestones clears the "Fog of War" (Level 2), reveals the location of Lesser Crucibles and Hot Springs (Level 3), and eventually pinpoints every collectible and Valuable Chest on your map (Level 4).
  • Each captured base provides an immediate, permanent boost to your base stats within that region, making future encounters and Boss fights much more manageable.
  • Most bases house a central Reward Chest that only unlocks once the area is conquered. These chests often contain rare materials, Smithing Texts, or gear with powerful set bonuses.
  • Conquering a base updates your map with comprehensive Area Info, effectively turning your compass into a precision tool for hunting down hidden secrets.

Because many Enemy Bases are linked to specific side-mission Myths or are hidden behind environmental puzzles, finding all 26 can be a daunting task. To help you achieve 100% regional completion, we have documented the exact coordinates for every stronghold on our Interactive Maps for Nioh 3.

Use the regional links in the table below to jump directly to each base's location and see the specific rewards waiting for you inside.
